Brendan McCann

Innocent Smile

Eager, trapped
Thought prevented,
Energy sapped,
Perception ascended?

A box which holds
All yet naught,
Fleeting bold,
And never caught

To be held in place,
Indefinitely stuck,
Never to face
The rat race, but

Uniqueness in thought,
A definite style,
A description sought,
For that innocent smile.
