Discovery
To
feel her spirits lift
Suddenly, one day
The icicles blow off
Her fingertips
As if by magic
The frozen pond
She skated, broke
With a loud crash
A thud, a splash
And she was in
Beneath the freezing water
Alive, pulsating
Gasping for air, for life
For joy.

Biography
I am twenty-five years of age and live with my family in Dublin.
I love reading especially poetry. I like to keep a diary and
write special things that have happened in it. I have had
poems published in 'Riposte' and also in the newspaper 'Newsfour'.
It is my dream to have my own poetry collection published
one day.
