Ian McKenzie

Cherry Blossom

Winter weary winter clings to us all and all things
Nothing any bringer brings gives comfort
Nothing any singer sings gives hope or joy to measure
Fingers of light probe the dark
Rubbing the green ever greener
Not yet the time
But the cherry blossom comes and is gone
Winters claws all deceiving
Claim their prize
